MODO Hockey hails from a town of just 30,000 citizens where more than 6,000 people show up for every home game. The 2015-16 season marks the 55th season that this small town club will play in the highest league tier in Swedish Ice Hockey. The club has captured two Swedish Championships (1979, 2007) and reached the final of the European Cup (1996). More than 20 NHL professionals have passed through the youth system of MODO, among which you will find Hart Memorial Trophy and Art Ross Trophy winners Peter Forsberg and Henrik Sedin.

The Swedish Elite League is probably the most well-exposed sports league in northern Europe. Each game of every 52 rounds of the season is accessible via Pay-Per-View TV and free-of-charge web radio broadcasts. Highlights from each round are available on national Public Service TV as well as the official web site of the league. Coverage of the games and everyday affairs of the clubs is an all-year, non-stop business in local and national newspapers, web sites and blogs. The recent success of Danish and Norwegian players in the league has also resulted in increased interest from a wider Scandinavian audience.
